Prerequisites and Requirements
Port Resources is happy to announce that we are re-starting our CRMA classes! We are excited to welcome the public again. Please note that our classes may be subject to change depending on Covid status. Dates are below; online registrations are not available at this time. Please contact Anna Adams (firstname.lastname@example.org) to register or for questions. Course fee is $85.
Recertifications will be in person at our office in South Portland. Classes will be limited to five students plus one instructor.
Individuals registering themselves are required to pay in full in advance; agencies registering staff may fill out the attached registration form (Port Resources will invoice) and submit to email@example.com to reserve a seat.

From the state of Maine:
- We will temporarily extend the requirement that “an individual must complete recertification within 30 days of certificate expiration”. If the certificate expired during the Governors declaration of the current Civil State of Emergency. The new timeframe will be extended to 60 days from the date the Governor lifts the Civil State of Emergency.
Each participant will be required to complete a mock Medication Administration Pass (supervised by the RN – registered nurse) dealing with a variety of medication types – oral, sublingual, optic, rectal, etc. Participants are encouraged to prepare through self – study or attend our Review/Refresher course, as review of the material is expressly prohibited by State regulation.
The course will test the participant’s knowledge of the following
- Residents rights
- State/Federal regulations regarding storage/handling of medications
- Medical Terminology
- Best Practice
**RECERTIFICATION REQUIRED EVERY 2 YEARS
