Certified Residential Medication Aide – Bridge (CRMA Bridge)
Prerequisites and Requirements
The CRMA Bridge is the same course as the CRMA Recertification, with the addition of a med pass. To be eligible, students must have a current 24 hour certificate and work at a residential facility that has a Registered Nurse on staff that can oversee the med pass. Due to Covid, Port Resources cannot offer the med pass service at this time. Please contact trainingregistration@portresources.org for course dates, registration form, or more info. Course fee is $85; the Recertification portion of the course is currently held in person at our office in South Portland.

Course Description
The purpose of the Certified Residential Medication Aide Bridge course is to provide individuals with a current 24 hour CRMA certificate a way to “Bridge” into the full 40 Hour certifications. Each participant must complete the standard CRMA Recertification training as well as complete a Medication Administration Pass supervised by a RN (registered nurse) in a licensed facility.
The course will test the participant’s knowledge of the following
- Residents rights
- State/Federal regulations regarding storage/handling of medications
- Medical Terminology
- Best Practices
*CRMA CERTIFICATION MUST BE NO MORE THAN 30 DAYS PAST EXPIRATION TO BE VALID
**RECERTIFICATION REQUIRED EVERY 2 YEARS
IMPORTANT NOTE: For individuals making a purchase of this training, you will need to register for the CRMA Recertification training ($85.00) {CRMA Recertification Link} and register for the Medication Pass ($100) {CRMA Med Pass Link}. The Registered Nurse will provide and confirm the med pass date with you after meeting the State requirements for the CRMA Recertification training.
