“Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work with individuals in agency managed residential group homes or in private homes throughout Southern Maine to improve and maintain their ability to live as independently as possible. “

Description

Home Support services may be provided in an individual’s private home or in an agency managed apartment setting. This service is provided in blocks of time scheduled throughout the week, based on the consumer’s needs.

Our residential group homes include private home settings located throughout York and Cumberland counties. Our homes are staffed up to 24 hours a day and are designed to support a variety of needs. Our staff are trained to meet the individuals' specific medical, dietary, and behavioral needs as identified in the Person Centered Plan.

All Services are delivered as written into the Person Centered Plan, allowing flexibility and individuality for every person.
The services are centered around:

  • Support with activities of daily living

  • Assistance with self-care and self-management

  • Promote personal development and well being

Eligibility for Services

In order to be eligible for this service, an individual must have Mainecare and Section 21 or 29 funding through Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Aging and Disability Services.
