Prerequisites and Requirements
During COVID-19, Port Resources is offering the SL-MAC Recert exclusively through the mail.
Our registered nurse will contact you to discuss your situation and will mail a packet with a SASE, to be mailed back upon completion with the course fee. To begin, please email Anna Adams (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your contact information.
**Please note that our Shared Living instructor will be out of the offie beginning August 10 for a brief medical leave. She expects to be able to manage this course beginning approx. the first week in September. Anna Adams is happy to keep in touch with you regarding your sttaus should you have inquiries or reach out to begin the course during this time.
- Current SLO-MAC Certification
The Shared Living Medication Administration course recertification is for people who have been previously certified to administer medications in Shared Living or Family-Centered Home Support settings funded under MaineCare section 21. This course is for the primary home provider as well as any others who administer medication only to the people living in the home. Anyone who is paid to administer medications in other settings is not eligible to take this course.
Recertification can only be obtained through an OADS Developmental Services approved nurse instructor. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be recertified to administer medications to people who live in Shared Living or Family-Centered Home Support.
