Samantha joined the board of Port Resources in February of 2017 after matching with the organization through the Lift360 Emerging Leaders Program.
She has a personal connection to Port’s mission since she has a younger sister with Asperger’s and has seen first-hand the challenges her family has faced to find services to help her sister live as independently as possible.
Professionally, Samantha has always had a passion for nonprofit work. She has experience in social services, public health and operations. Most recently, she worked as an Operations Manager at Athena Health.
She holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a bachelor’s degree from Bates College.
When she’s not working, Samantha loves outdoor adventures and can often be found biking, hiking, skiing, kayaking or swimming. She also grew up on a horse farm and was an equestrian competitor for many years.
In addition to her work with Port Resources, Samantha also volunteers with the Portland Wheelers, the Locker Project, and the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland.
