Adopt-a-Home

Port Resources is excited to introduce our Adopt-a-Home Program which will serve as the foundation for all of our fundraising efforts.

What is Adopt-a-Home?  We currently operate over 20 homes in Cumberland and York County which are home to over one hundred residents.  Our most critical need are for funds that will assist us with the upkeep and maintenance of the homes and to support the need for our residents to access the community for resources and activities.  Our goal for fiscal year July 1, 2008-June 30, 2009 is $240,000 or $10,000 per home.  In addition we welcome individual or organizations to contact us regarding volunteer opportunities that will have a great impact on our organization.

Who is this program for?  This program is for individual donors, corporations, foundations and civic clubs.

Why Adopt-a-Home?  With over 20 homes and over 100 individuals supported we are quite a large agency.  We want volunteers and supporters to see and experience the impact of their generosity.  We have a great mission, inspiring stories to tell, and we feel the best way to communicate with our donors is by sharing the stories of one particular home.

What can you expect from Port Resources?

It is critical for Port Resources to provide timely relevant communication with each donor that supports our mission.  Whether it is a $25 or $10,000 gift, we want folks to see the impact of their gift and have a close look at how Port Resources is utilizing charitable donations.  We will be communicating with our donors regularly and we are in the process of creating a web-site dedicated specifically to this program.

Port Resources is a vital part of our community and we believe our mission is relevant to all those that live in Greater Portland We hope that you will contribute to our Adopt-a-Home Program and make a difference in the lives of the individuals we support.
