Taking quality care personally
Our professional staff provides round-the-clock support for people with autism, Down syndrome, Prader Willi syndrome, Angelman’s syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, mental health and behavioral issues. Whatever the diagnosis, we look beyond the disability to focus on each person. Our first concern is knowing, understanding and valuing the people in our care. We learn their likes and dislikes, their fears and dreams…what makes them the unique individuals they are.
In other words, we don't define our residents by their disability, but by their personality. This person-centered approach allows staff members to form meaningful connections with those in their care -- and paves the way for residents to experience genuine growth.
From medication to socialization, we support all aspects of our residents’ lives -- while encouraging them to learn new skills and reach for higher lifetime goals. Whenever possible, residents participate in vocational pursuits, enrichment programs and community activities. Small successes multiply to produce profound changes in their self-confidence, independence and quality of life.
